To
Mr.
Dear Sir,
I am
interested in applying for a teaching position in your school as a Chemistry Teacher
As a 1996
graduate of Chemistry of Makerere University and a holder of a Diploma in
Education to teach Chemistry and Physics, I have a student teaching experience
on both Ordinary and Advanced levels in all categories of Schools for the last
18 years.
At present I
am teaching Chemistry at Alliance Secondary School Ibanda, in Uganda and I am
also regional Chemistry IN-SERVICE trainer for Chemistry teachers in Uganda.
These
positions have enabled me to understand the appropriate methods of imparting
Chemistry concepts to learners. I am challenged to be practical, to involve
learners so that my lessons are learner centered. I have also learned that in
order to make my learners understand the concepts, I have to encourage them and
improvise some new and interesting ideas. I have also learned that for my lessons
to be effective, I have to use the cycle that involves planning,
implementation, evaluation and then improvement.
Before
coming to Alliance Secondary School, I was working as a care taker head teacher,
a deputy head teacher, a director of studies, a head of science, a class
teacher and a house master.
It is my
goal therefore, to combine my range of experience with my ability to be
compassionate to learners, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher who will make a
positive contribution to your school.
I would
welcome an interview and hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience.
Yours
Sincerely,
John Mary Ahimbisibwe
